Happy Monday, Breakers

We’re living through some of the most chaotic times in recent history. One of the challenges is that media has become one of the political footballs. Instead of trusted sources we have competing narratives.

At least that is, if you focus on mainstream media. When it comes to independent media, the landscape has never been more full of quality voices.

Jake Hanrahan is the founder of Popular Front - a podcast and media network focused on underreported and irregular conflict. He has been embedded in conflict zones from Syria to Ukraine to Kosovo and beyond.

In this conversation, we discuss the state of media, and why the world is so hungry for real, authentic conversations rather than the parroting of political slogans.

Check it out and thanks for listening
